Hiroshima Prefectural Housing Corporation is accepting applications for room rental in Sun Square Higashi-Hiroshima as follows. Applicants are required to carry out the application process in accordance with the following instructions.
1. Application Requirements
(1)International Students who have a residence status of "Student" (including students who will come to Japan in April 2026).
①Current students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate school etc. of a university or students who will have completed their enrollment by the beginning date of their occupancy (including research students).
② People who are in good physical and mental health and who are capable of adapting to communal life.
③ People who will follow all the rules and pledge to engage in communal life in a coordinated manner.
④ People who are able to get a recommendation from university presidents, etc.
⑤ People who have a joint guarantor who has sufficient capacity to guarantee debts.
(However, those who are under conditions difficult to find a joint guarantor may utilize the Apartment Tenancy Guarantee Certificate issued by the university that they belong to. In this case, residents are required to purchase "Comprehensive Renters' Insurance for Foreign Students Studying in Japan" without fail during their occupancy. The insurance premium must be shouldered by resident separately.)
2. Number of rooms (Tentative)

③ Family (5F), Separated Bath and Toilet Room: 5 rooms
3. Occupancy period
In principal, between one and four years.
However, the end of the occupancy period will be set on March 20th or September 20th.

5. How to apply
Please apply through the following website.
There is no parking lot for residents in Sun Square Higashi-Hiroshima.
Successful applicants who have a car must secure a parking space by themselves or get rid of their car. If a car owned by a resident is illegally parked on the premises, the lease contract with the resident will be cancelled.
There is a parking lot (90 spots) for bicycles and motorcycles on the first basement level. Due to the limited space, please keep bikes/motorcycles tidy and ordered when using the space.
7. Selection process
A selection meeting conducted by the management council of Sun Square Higashi-Hiroshima will determine the outcome through paper screening.
8. Announcement of application results
The results will be notified through the office of faculty/graduate school.
Successful applicants must obtain the documents concerning occupancy procedures at the office in charge within university promptly.
9. Explanatory meeting for new residents
Procedures, such as signing the contract and receiving the room key will be carried out at Sun Square Higashi-Hiroshima.
10. Moving-in Date
From April 1 (Wed.), 2026
11. Other instructions
(1) Each applicant is allowed to apply for only one room.
(2) The application will be rescinded if applicants submit a document containing any false statements.
(3) The single room cannot be occupied by more than one person.
(4) The family apartment can be used for single occupancy. Applications for living with brothers/sisters or friends etc. are not accepted.
(5) Please reside until the end of the contract period. (Moving out after a short-period of stay is not allowed.)
